Today’s assisted living is not your grandmother’s nursing home!
We learned that for sure thanks to Tara Davis, Our guest, Tara Davis, Director of The Towers retirement and assisted living community in Richmond, VA. As our go-to girlfriend for understanding exactly what assisted living is, what it’s not and how to choose a good one, she filled us in.
One of the most important things we learned: start to learn about the assisted living options in your area now, before you and your aging parents absolutely need it! Because by that time, it’s soooo much harder and you may easily be unhappy with the result.

great show very informative a lot to think about when our parents get older...I know we had to put our grandmother in a nursing home in West River Maryland it was difficult but we did our homework to find the one that we felt would take care of her needs and her and was close to my mom!

That's very nice! It's so great to hear nursing homes that provide the best care for the elderly. I hope more nursing homes would follow this excellent example.
