All month our theme has been All About Moms.  We couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up the month than to celebrate with the First Lady – and we like to think First Mom – of Virginia Maureen McDonnell on Memorial Day!

Maureen McDonnell has been married to Governor Bob McDonnell for 35 years, is a mother of five, and an owner of a small business.  She is one busy woman and mom just like so many of our girlfriend listeners! 

She also has a passion for supporting military families - so much so that she jumped out of an airplane to raise awareness for her Serving Our Service Military Families (SOS) initiative!  See the video below.

Happy Mother's Day!  Today on Girlfriend We Gotta Talk radio show, we’re talking with musical comedian, and mother of three Anita Renfroe.  You may remember Anita’s hilarious You Tube video called the Momsong of her singing everything a mother says to her children in a single day to the tune of the William Tell Overture in less than 3 minutes! 

Since then she become a comedy contributor for Good Morning America, filmed her latest DVD Big Ole Sweet Iced Tea, and just released an updated, rapp version of Momsong called “In Tha Mathuhood.”
