Because All Women Need Crazy Glue

Untitled Document

As you know, I've been on the road a lot lately doing what I can to inspire women to be bodacious and live like their nail color. When I speak, I often share that years ago I traded in my husband for "Crazy Glue" - he's crazy about me and I'm stuck on him!

A lot of women ask me about my relationship with Crazy Glue, which usually leads to a conversation about their relationship, and their frustrations. We all want a great relationship, but dang if it isn't a challenge. I wish it were as easy as putting on a nail color called "Gimmee Crazy Glue", but it isn't.

In fact, I was talking to my friends Susie and Otto Collins the other day and they said something so simple, and yet it can make a big difference in relationships if you really think about it.

Susieandottocollins

Susie and Otto are relationship coaches, authors and speakers. They've written more books and created more courses on relationships than I can remember.

Here's what they said:

"We all do things every day, without knowing it, that keep us from having the love, relationships and connection we really want. But most of what isn't working isn't that hard to fix!

All you have to do is shift, change or "reverse" some of the things you're doing that aren't working and presto, your relationships start getting better."

Being an engineer by education, I liked this problem solving approach. But, I also know it's easier said than done. For most of us, when challenges come up in our relationship, we don't know what to do or what things we should stop doing or "reverse." So, we end up not doing anything and just hope things will get better. Deep down we really want more.

Well, I have good news ...

Susie and Otto just finished a short, new e-book called the "Relationship Reverse Report" that describes 14 of the most common relationship challenges and how to "reverse" them. Best part is they agreed to let me give it to you at no charge.

To get yours just go to this special page:
--- > www.PassionateHeart.com/MarySentMe

When they told me their title was "Relationship Reverse" I immediately thought of that beeping sound made by trucks when they back up.

Then I read the report.

I really loved #11 - "You tend to judge, blame and have a need to be right."

"Beep, beep, beep!"

Then there's # 2 - "Not being aware of or hiding What you are thinking or feeling from those you love."

"Beep, beep, beep!"

Fortunately, Susie and Otto offer some simple ideas about what to do after the "Beep, beep, beep!"

Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this great relationship info. Because we all deserve some Crazy Glue!

Again, here's that special link:

P.S. - I've tried my darndest for years to come up with an alternative to the term "boyfriend" because goodness knows at my age, I'm not with a boy and definitely want more than a friend!

Give the term a try! Whether married or single, next time introduce your honey as "This is (name), my crazy glue. He's (or she's) crazy about me and I'm stuck on him." I bet you'll love the response!

4 Cities in 7 Days... Whew!

My head is spinning from all my travel recently. In the past week I’ve been to 4 cities in 7 days and I’m thinking of changing my nail color name to “Tired Pup”! But, I had a good time inspiring women in Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas to be bodacious and live like their nail color. Thanks to all the wonderful women at American Business Women Association chapters across the country for inviting me to share and for all the hard work you’ve done to put these events together! Here are some photos:

While in Minnesota I was able to spend time with my cousin Sara Discenza.

Here I am in Kansas City at the American Business Women’s Association MoKan Chapter. They say it takes guts to be foolish in front of a group. Believe me, it’s not that hard, especially when you attempt to look like Wonder Woman.

Thanks to the gals in Columbia, MO (and their boyfriends) who took me out for some great laughs after speaking to their ABWA chapter. What fun!

More on that Escape...

Ever since I announced it on Tuesday I've been getting questions about the "Escape to St. Lucia" trip this May at the all-inclusive resort called "The Body Holiday at Le Sport."

Does you body need a holiday?

Mine does and my mind does, too! LOL!

I figured more of you have questions. So I decided to host a Tell-All Call this coming Monday, April 14th at 7 pm Eastern with Sharon and Judi of Unforgettable Adventures so you can hear ALL the details and get ALL your questions answered.

My ever so efficient assistant Debbie just put the page up with all the dial-in info so check it out now:

Tell-All Call -- > www.GoBodacious.com/escape

Going to St. Lucia already sounds decadent, doesn't it? I thought it would be mucho expensive to be decadent, but it's not. I am sooo serious!

Then I was asked to come and do 2 sessions for women - whatever I wanted to do! Stopped my beating heart I tell you.

So, in addition to everything else you can do at Le Sport, I'm hosting "Mimosas with Mary" on the beach and a "Live Like Your Nail Color Happy Hour"! Not your average resort events to be sure.

If you have any interest in this adventure whatsoever, I strongly encourage you to make time this Monday at 7 pm Eastern to find out more. You'll be glad you did!

Again, here's where to get the dial-in info:

Tell-All Call -- > www.GoBodacious.com/escape

Talk with you then...

Power Brokers & Smart Women

There’s a reason why I don’t read much fiction these days – because my real life has got enough stories to keep me entertained! LOL! A good example is last week. It was filled with lunch Power Brokers and Smart Women.

Last Tuesday at the Women in Business Conference in Rockville, MD I had the privilege of being the lead Power Broker at lunch with a table full of female Power Brokers. Among other things they shared one nail color name that describes them and why. You won’t be hearing such inside scoop around the table with a bunch of guys now would ya?

Thanks to Amy Gearhart, Stephanie Cromwell, Lauren Ishmael, LeAnne Stefl, and Naomi Abrams for choosing to Power Lunch with me!

Last week I also shared that I was going to the WOW! Conference for women in Richmond, VA. In addition to having a good time and being energized, I was a finalist for the Smart Woman of the Year Career Changer, someone who left one successful career and has successfully started another. Thanks to everyone who sent me a note hoping I would win.

Well, dang if I didn’t win! It was such an honor to be thought of so highly by such smart women. Put a “WOW!” on my face, if you know what I mean!

I’m thrilled to be considered a Smart Woman!

April 01, 2008

I just found out 2 exciting things!

** EXCITING THING #1 **

My lunch table as a PowerBrokers at the Women in Business Conference on Tuesday, April 1 in Rockville, MD is totally booked! That means the women who signed up are serious about having a seriously good time. I think I’ll wear the nail color “Power Lunch”, which is red, of course.

If you weren’t able to grab one of the seats at my table, no worries. I’ll still be available before lunch during my book signing and after lunch at the PowerBrokers resource table.

The conference chair tells me they still have room for a few more registrations, so if you want to join in, do it now. The entire day-long conference is terrific and only $109.

And, if you plan to come, I’d love to meet you.

** EXCITING THING #2 **

A few days ago I found out that I’m a finalist for the Smart Woman of the Year in the Career Changer category! (Heather Laird of the Live Like Your Nail Color Club nominated me without telling me. Such a sneaker.)

The Smart Woman of the Year awards will be presented at the WOW! Conference celebrating Women of the Work of World next Saturday, April 5 in Richmond, VA.

The whole purpose of the WOW! Conference is for professional women to connect, to feel energized, to learn how to thrive in their careers, and to celebrate their brilliance.

All kinds of speakers are sharing their expertise on everything from leading change to managing money to finding time to having more fun in their work and life.

I’ll be feeling WOWed all day! Care to join me?

Go here for more info -- >www.smartwomansclub.com/wow.asp

They are limited to WOWing 150 women so if you’re at all curious, check this out and decide right away.

And just like the Women in Business Conference, if you plan to come to the WOW! Conference, LET ME KNOW! I’d love to meet you.

Are you misbehaving?

So, are you?

I hope so!

There's a well-known quote "Well-behaved women rarely make history."

Which to me means that "Misbehaving women are always making herstory."

HA! How's that for the little word play?

Playful, yes. But, only to make a point.

Whether in the history books or not, every woman is making her own herstory. It's her story. Not anyone else's and no one but she can make it.

Figuring out, day by day, what you want your story to be can feel a bit daunting at times, even when you're up for the task. That's why it's so important to be inspired by other women's stories.

Now you can be inspired by a woman whose life was complicated, and yet she made her own herstory for sure. It's Eleanor Roosevelt.

To celebrate March being Women's History Month, I invited Robin Gerber to be my guest on my monthly Live Like Your Nail Color Club call.

Robin is an expert on Eleanor Roosevelt and author of "Eleanor vs. Ike", a new historical fiction based on "what if" Eleanor Roosevelt ran for President against Dwight Eisenhower in 1952.

"Eleanor vs Ike" is a very fun read complete with romance, suspense and intrigue. You don't have to be a political junkie to truly enjoy it because it's about people, their relationships, and what they value.

What can we glean from Eleanor Roosevelt's real character to inspire us to make our own "herstory"?

What made Eleanor Roosevelt such an amazing woman?

What was Eleanor's version of what it meant to be a woman and how did she arrive at it?

Do you think a woman could have been elected President in 1952? What if Eleanor were running for President today?

These are the questions I presented to Robin Gerber during the call. And, you should have heard her answers! Of course you still can by going to www.LiveLikeYourNailColorClub.com and signing up as a member. You'll get this call on CD in your March Goodie package! (If you're outside the US and Canada you can still join in; however, you'll get the MP3 version only.)

Here's what the March Goodie Package contains:
a copy of this Club Call on CD, my March Live Like Your Nail Color newsletter, and bottle of "Making
Herstory" nail polish delivered to your door.

They say talk is cheap. That's true. It's about 10 bucks a month for Live Like Your Nail Color Club members. But, the inspiration and laughter are worth far more!

So, if you've been thinking "This is my kinda Club" why not do it today and get to listen to this inspiring call?

Because we all want to be making herstory of our own!

Here's to your herstory!

P.S. - When you join the Club I'll immediately send you my Live Like Your Nail Color STARTER KIT complete with 2 fun bottles of nail polish ("Celebration Red" and "Playful" Pink"), base coat, top coat, toe separators, and Live Like Your Nail Color nail file ($19.95 value) as my gift to you.

Fun Photos from Fort Walton Beach, New York, Annapolis & Palm Springs

Phew, this whirlwind speaking tour gal is off the road and needing some rest. (Don’t worry, by Easter Sunday I will rise again, if you know what I mean. What a good idea Jesus had!)

Thanks to all of the fun gals in Fort Walton Beach, New York City, Annapolis and Palm Springs who came out to join me these last 2 weeks. What fun we had!

In Fort Walton Beach, FL I had the extra special treat of seeing my Aunt Mary and Uncle Art. Aren’t they a handsome couple? Special thanks to Jo, Lisa, Bev, and Bonnie for making them feel so welcome.

Auntmaryuncleart

Here’s the “crew” who put on the sold-out event with 141 women! Clearly they got the memo about wearing red. :-)

Here are 2 fun gals - Amy and Valerie – who I met at the Barnes & Noble in Pensacola, FL during my book signing. We closed down the place!

Here is a glimpse of Damu in NYC being today’s Wonder Woman. I might be wearing the Wonder Woman outfit but she’s wondering what the heck just happened to her!

It was quite a treat to inspire the mother-daughter pair of Chelsey and Becky at the Annapolis ABWA event.

This gal decided to fully embrace the “ta-tas” definition of bodacious with some temporary “pasties”. LOL!

Latestgigphotos054

Thanks to gals of the ABWA Trendsetter Chapter we had a full-to-the-brim crowd of 75 for dinner in Palm Springs, CA!

Don’t you just LOVE this red, black and silver bag? Teri Howard, who owns www.ATEHO.com , had beautiful “art to wear” jewelry and hand bags. I picked up a pair of styling black onyx and sterling silver earrings!
