Are you misbehaving?

So, are you?

I hope so!

There's a well-known quote "Well-behaved women rarely make history." 

Which to me means that "Misbehaving women are always making herstory."

HA!  How's that for the little word play?

Playful, yes.  But, only to make a point.

Whether in the history books or not, every woman is making her own herstory.  It's her story.  Not anyone else's and no one but she can make it.

Figuring out, day by day, what you want your story to be can feel a bit daunting at times, even when you're up for the task.  That's why it's so important to be inspired by other women's stories. 

Now you can be inspired by a woman whose life was complicated, and yet she made her own herstory for sure. It's Eleanor Roosevelt.

To celebrate March being Women's History Month, I invited Robin Gerber to be my guest on my monthly Live Like Your Nail Color Club call.

Robin is an expert on Eleanor Roosevelt and author of "Eleanor vs. Ike", a new historical fiction based on "what if" Eleanor Roosevelt ran for President against Dwight Eisenhower in 1952. 

"Eleanor vs Ike" is a very fun read complete with romance, suspense and intrigue.  You don't have to be a political junkie to truly enjoy it because it's about people, their relationships, and what they value.

Do you think a woman could have been elected President in 1952?  What if Eleanor were running for President today?

Phew, this whirlwind speaking tour gal is off the road and needing some rest.  (Don’t worry, by Easter Sunday I will rise again, if you know what I mean.  What a good idea Jesus had!)

Thanks to all of the fun gals in Fort Walton Beach, New York City, Annapolis and Palm Springs who came out to join me these last 2 weeks.  What fun we had! 

In Fort Walton Beach, FL I had the extra special treat of seeing my Aunt Mary and Uncle Art.  Aren’t they a handsome couple?  Special thanks to Jo, Lisa, Bev, and Bonnie for making them feel so welcome.

Here’s the “crew” who put on the sold-out event with 141 women!  Clearly they got the memo about wearing red.  :-)

Here is a glimpse of Damu in NYC being today’s Wonder Woman.  I might be wearing the Wonder Woman outfit but she’s wondering what the heck just happened to her!

It was quite a treat to inspire the mother-daughter pair of Chelsey and Becky at the Annapolis ABWA event.

This gal decided to fully embrace the “ta-tas” definition of bodacious with some temporary “pasties”.   LOL!

Thanks to gals of the ABWA Trendsetter Chapter we had a full-to-the-brim crowd of 75 for dinner in Palm Springs, CA!

Don’t you just LOVE this red, black and silver bag?  Teri Howard, who owns www.ATEHO.com , had  beautiful “art to wear” jewelry and hand bags.  I picked up a pair of styling black onyx and sterling silver earrings!
